Feels like rain

Today was hard.  He seems healthy but they still found infection of some kind in his blood and they are saying it may be another week.  That really messed with emotions today.  I am just knowing that we will be here as long as it takes.  Our road map is 1.  Learn from the past  2. Prepare for the future 3.  Live in the present.    Fear is a deadly enemy of progress.  Preparation is essential for progress.  Find joy in the journey.  Don't let thoughts of tomorrow take up too much of today.  (President Thomas S. Monson)  We are going to find joy everyday.  Maybe we can bring joy to someone in this place.  Like the guy with no legs I talk to in hemo.  Like Gordon the throat cancer guy next to us.  Like Rob who is so awesome and took us to the best steak house in the world today.  The lightning show at night.  My mom who can be there to care for my house and kids.  The time I have to think about life.  What can I find joy in today?  What can I learn today?

Parking ticket, hemo schedule mix up, Movie, dinner, visit with a dietician to learn all about a new way of eating and cooking.  No sodium , low potasium and Low phophates.  Low fluid. Visit with a Social Worker who gave us info about tax claims.  Too funny...J tried to run today to get out a rain storm...he got a butt cramp....we laughed.  He is now able to have a pass once a day.  So that will keep him sane.  We are going to try to get him on an outpaitent schedule.  Be prepared to meet challenges not be overcome by them.  There were some definate low moments today.  But then you have to look up and get up and keep going.

J is off the V antibiotic and just on something else he was originally on.  They have to take his blood pressure on his thigh now because it hurts so much on his right arm.  No BPs in the left arm ever.  They have to save it for emergencies I guess.  We joke about it being no Boson Pizza's in his left.  Coral sent balloons today.  He loved them.  They said ' Sorry about your kidney" on one of them.  He says to tell you Coral it is both not one!  We live in an amazing country!  There are things wrong with our system but really...if we were state side right now we would be so dead in the water!
